７月から１か月短期留学に来ていたジャスミンさんから、たくさんの英語の本を寄贈してもらいました！
自らベースの人々に呼びかけ、本を集めてくれたそうです。

Jasmine, who was an exchange student at Seiwa for a month last July, donated many many English books to our library.

She asked many of her friends on base if they had any pre-loved books that could help Japanese students learn to read in English.

寄贈してもらった本は、さっそく英語の授業で使われています。
中学１年生のクラスでは、好きな本を選び、先生や友達に読み聞かせしてコメントをもらって回るアクティビティをおこなっています。

We put those books to good use straight away by including a reading class once a week for first year junior high students. Thhose students choose a book they like and practice reading aloud to teachers and friends.

分からない単語があっても、どんどん読み進めていけば、より早く英語に慣れることができます。

簡単なものから読み応えのあるものまで、たくさんの本がそろっています！
